Norwalk Yacht Club offers one of Long Island Sound's premiere yachting environments. Located in beautiful Wilson Cove in Norwalk, Connecticut, the Club has an extensive mooring field with easy access to the scenic coves, islands and open waters of Long Island Sound.

Our Membership

The membership of Norwalk Yacht Club is comprised of individuals and families who share a passion for yachting and enjoy a friendly social environment. Membership is categorized into the following classes: Regular, Associate, Corinthian, Junior, Shore, Non-Resident, Life and Honorary. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact prior to printing and completing the application form below. Our membership committee can assign you a sponsor if you do not know a current Norwalk Yacht Club member who can sponsor you.

Our Facilities

Our Programs

Norwalk Yacht Club offers a rich diversity of programs for racers, cruisers and junior sailors:

Adult Sailing
The club owns eight Ideal 18s, with instruction for all levels and an active fleet racing program available to both members and non-members.

A friendly, competitive racing program for big boats features a Wednesday Night Series and weekend racing.

Cruisers participate in organized club cruises throughout the summer, as well as joining fellow members on weekend outings to nearby harbors.

Junior Sailing
An accomplished junior sailing program attracts enthusiastic member and non-member children for fun-filled instruction in Optis, Pixels, Lasers and 420s.

When reviewing any application for membership, when providing any service to its members, and the operation of its facilities and programs, the Norwalk Yacht Club shall not discriminate on the basis of: race, creed, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, age, or familial status.
